This December, Tonasket students were virtual participants in a national
campaign to provide exposure to computer programming to students of all
ages. AmeriCorps volunteers Amy Fry and Michele Giovia collaborated
with Jordan Weddle in the Tech Department, and the Technology teachers
Brenda Grove and Kerry Delfino, to develop engaging activities that
taught the basics of computer programming, while also connecting these
skills to future careers. Nearly 100 Tonasket students from grades seven
through twelve participated in hands-on computer programing activities
throughout this initiative.
