Tonasket SD is a public school located in rural north-central Washington and is one of the largest geographical districts in the state serving a school population of over 1,000 students and 163 staff through five schools: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Choice High School, and Outreach School (homeschool program). All district facilities are located on a single campus, which provides for ease of availability of the full range of district programs and services to all students.
The Tonasket setting is rural with magnificent topography of mountains and valleys. The Okanogan River, part of the Columbia River system, flows through the town of Tonasket. There are many lakes in the area, some large and others quite small. The climate is best described as semi-arid with four definite seasons.
