Video camera work:
Fifth graders learned how to operate a video camera in the fall of the year. Each student took a turn at being the
- camera operator
- "go fer"
- actor
- special effects character (disappearing act).
Book Recommendations:
When the fifth graders were the actors they held a book that they liked reading in the past. The camera operator had to frame the actor and the book in one shot, then zoom in for a close-up of the book for another shot.
Each student wrote a brief recommendation for the book they held.
